Perspective Shift is a federally recognized 501(c)3 organization with a mission of supporting gay, bisexual, and queer men’s journeys towards personal fulfillment by providing multi-dimensional educational, social, and community-focused workshops, groups, and activities. The broad scope of purpose allows the organization to remain adaptable and responsive to changing community needs. Through fostering collaborative relationships with local and national organizations and communities, Perspective Shift endeavors to have a helpful, positive, and impactful effect on communities and individuals within it.
Programs
Palm Springs Single Guys (2019 – current)
Palm Springs Single Guys is a social group designed to support single gay men in the Coachella Valley connect better with each other. Virtual and in-person events are designed to increase networking opportunities for friendship, dating, and relationships.
The Grove: A Colorado AIDS Memorial (2016 – current)
The Grove was originally dedicated in 2000, but revitalized and rededicated in 2016. Perspective Shift was honored to be one of nine organizations that offered leadership and support to create visibility, community engagement, and funding for this important piece of Colorado history in memory of those who lost their lives to AIDS-related illnesses, those who cared for them, and all others living with or affected by HIV.

Eisenhower Health Healthy Aging Series: Body Image & Body Dysmorphia (2019)
This interactive discussion was designed to explore how body image can cause concerning impacts on self-esteem, connecting with others, and developing meaningful relationships. In addition to identifying symptoms, causes, and potential treatments, participants discussed methods to help reduce negative impacts, gain more confidence, and work on loving their own body.
PrEP in Colorado.org (2015 – 2016)
Perspective Shift gained funding to create Colorado’s first online educational and referral resource for information relating to Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Although eventually made obsolete by a project from Colorado Public Health and Environment, PrEP in Colorado functioned to promote the importance of sexual health-related options to decrease the transmission of HIV and reduce HIV-related stigma within Colorado’s community.
