Brent Heinze has a master’s degree in clinical counseling and relocated to Southern California from Denver in 2017. He focuses on his counseling private practice and brings over 18 years of clinical experience working as a psychotherapist primarily with gay men, diverse family structures, relationships, trauma, and addiction. Brent incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Social Learning Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Theory (DBT), social psychology, and motivational strategies to address a client’s needs. He is also a Level 2 EMDR trained therapist.
Brent enjoys working with individuals who want to improve themselves, overcome challenges, and live their best possible lives. He focuses on working as a collaborative partner in developing methods to lead a happier and more fulfilling life. Many clients express a desire to become more outgoing, overcome social anxiety, develop better relationships with others, or focus on addressing past issues that continue to impact them and cause disruption in their lives.
